As part of the Taste of West Cork Festival 2009 programme, I’ll be taking a group to meet second generation butcher William Walsh, of Tom Walsh’s butcher’s shop in Skibbereen.
William will conduct a Meat Masterclass, demonstrating his butchering skills with beef and lamb, and talking about the various cuts best suited for economy, slow cooking, and quick meals. Afterwards, we’ll go to Annie May’s in Skibbereen to enjoy the wonderful hospitality of this local pub in the heart of town, and have a meat tasting with a glass of wine. I’ll also be answering any questions on meat cookery and dispensing tips along the way! The evening promises to be highly informative and very enjoyable. Booking is essential as numbers are limited.
